How it works

Public Signals, Checked Live

Nothing is estimated. Each number comes from a lookup made when you press the button.

  1. 01

    Enter A Domain

A domain, a website address or an email address. We check the domain itself, or your sending subdomain if you enter one.

  2. 02

    We Run Every Check

Registration date over RDAP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX in DNS, a real TLS handshake with the website, and live blocklist lookups.

  3. 03

    Two Scores From One Table

Each check carries fixed points in both scores. A check we could not run is left out, never counted as a pass or a fail.

  4. 04

    You Get The Fix

Each problem says what was found, why it matters for sending and what to change first.

What we check

Every Signal Behind The Two Scores

The same checks feed both scores, weighted differently: trust for the Domain Score, risk for the Domain Spam Score.

  • Domain Age

The registration date from the registry's RDAP service, the official replacement for WHOIS.

    • Over 365 days counts in full
    • Under 90 days adds spam risk
    • Under 30 days adds the most
  • Authentication

The records Gmail and Yahoo require from bulk senders, read live from DNS.

    • SPF present, valid and not +all
    • DKIM on common and provider selectors
    • DMARC present, with its p= policy
  • Mail And Website

Whether the domain can receive replies and has a working website people can check.

    • MX records, and null MX
    • HTTPS certificate, chain and expiry
    • Free and disposable email domains
  • Blocklists

The domain and the servers behind its MX and website, against live blocklists.

    • Listings scored by list severity
    • Shared and neighbourhood listings shown, not scored
    • Lists needing a licence marked Not Checked

How the scores work

One Weight Table, No Hidden Inputs

Every check has fixed points in each score: Domain Resolves 5 Domain Score / 5 Spam Score, Domain Age 20 Domain Score / 15 Spam Score, MX Records 10 Domain Score / 5 Spam Score, SPF Record 10 Domain Score / 10 Spam Score, DKIM Key 10 Domain Score / 10 Spam Score, DMARC Policy 10 Domain Score / 10 Spam Score, HTTPS Certificate 10 Domain Score / 5 Spam Score, Blocklists 25 Domain Score / 30 Spam Score, Domain Type 10 Spam Score. Each column adds up to 100. A pass keeps all of a check's Domain Score points and adds no risk; a warning keeps part; a problem loses them all and adds its full risk.

When a check cannot be run, because a lookup timed out or the registry publishes no date, it is left out of both scores and the remaining points are scaled back to 100. The page lists which checks were left out, and the points shown for each check always add up to the score.

Domain Score: Strong from 80, Fair from 60, Weak from 40, Poor from 0. Domain Spam Score: High Risk from 50, Medium Risk from 20, Low Risk from 0. These bands are Eklow's own. Neither score measures backlinks or search ranking, and neither is a search-engine authority metric.

Plain-English Answers, Checked Against The Result

The checker decides both scores and every check. SpirenAI, Eklow's AI, only explains what it found and puts the fixes in order. Anything it says that the result cannot back is dropped.

  • Explains each problem in plain words
  • Says what it means for your sending
  • Orders the fixes by the points they cost
  • Never calls anything fine that was not checked

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Domain Score Checker: what the two scores measure, how they are weighted and how to raise yours.

Here, a domain score is Eklow's own 0 to 100 measure of how trustworthy a domain looks as an email sender, built only from public signals: its age, its SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX records, its website certificate and live blocklist listings. Higher is better. Every input is shown on the page with the points it moved.

Send From Domains That Score Well.

Eklow checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC on every sending domain before anything sends, re-checks them every six hours, and warms new mailboxes on a real ramp.
